Definition of Dispersing Agent:
A surface active agent added to the suspending medium to promote uniform & maximum separation of extremely fine solid particles often of colloidal size, application include wet grinding of pigments
Properties:
- Appearance: Light Yellow/Brownish Oily Liquid
- pH: 6.0 to 7.0 &
- Non ionic in nature
- Chemical Nature: It is blend of proven emulsifiers surfactants, polyacrylates and stabilizers
- HLB Value: 13.87
- Stable in Hard Water & Lime
- Compatibility In Alkaline & Acidic Medium
Diko-Lvdisp Provides:
- Excellent levelling & dispersing properties
- Rapid wetting of pigments and better flow of pigment loading
- Full chroma & Maximum Tinting Strength Developments
- Viscosity stability and avoids setting of pigment
- Excellent result as "Universal/Lime Stainer Media"
- Compatibility with broad range of coatings
- Act As Emulsifier in Emulsion Paints
Testing Method:
- Take 100 ml water into 250 ml beaker
- Add small quantity of pigment (alpha Blue/Green), pigments floats on water surface even after stirring & water doesn't get coloured
- Now add 2-3 drops of the products slowly from side edge of beaker, do not stir
- Please observe breaking of pigment into micro particle without stirring & water gets colour of that pigment
- It is called chemical breaking of pigment. It proves that our products eliminates floating of pigment with better dispersing effect
- It reduce Grinding time & improve flow properties. It is ideal with later dispersion e.g. Pigment like phthalocyanine blue in combination with lemon chrome (Bus Green Shade)
Recommended Dosage:
- For water base emulsion: Add 0.3 to 0.5 % LVDISP (of total batch) at grinding stage and before addition of pigment
- For oil base enamel: Add 0.5 to 0.7 % LVDISP (of total batch) at grinding stage and before addition of pigment
- For universal Stainer media: Add 4 to 5% at grinding stage along with Universal Stainer media
Other Details:
- Unique Product working as a Wetting agent, Emulsifier, Dispersing agent and Levelling agent (A combo of 4 in 1)
- For Oil Base Paint Enamel & Water Base Emulsion (Distemper)
- For Printing Inks Manufactures
- Multifunctional Pigment Dispersing media
- For Pigment Paste Manufacturer
- It acts as a grinding vehicle for highly concentrated dispersions, it wets and deflocculate pigments without causing much foaming which adversely affecting the film properties
